Is this a good choice for a stock 383 motor.......

Holley 4777C (650 cfm) and Weiand 8008 intake?

perfect....I'm running that intake on 2 of my cars....

Is long as you plan on keeping it stock it should be OK. You may get better performance with a 700 cfm carb. The big question would be will stock brakets still work or is this an upgrade form a 2 bl?

you will need to modify the cable mounting bracket, I had to with mine

It had a 4 barrel on it before.
If you mean the throttle kick down cable, I am using a reverse manual 727 behind this motor, there will be no cable.

no, the gas pedal cable is what I was referring to.....you will have to modify the bracket that the cable clamps in.....I'll try and find the pics of mine that I modified

Running a single plane TM 6 and a 650 dbl pumper on my sons 383 Super Bee, it runs low 12s with a 100 shot of nitrous. A dual plane would work well on a closer to stock motor.

We had a 4777 on it before the DP 650, and it worked pretty good without nitrous.

A 4777 IS a DP 650
