3BBL

i was wondering what jets and spring would be good to start with.
Look up the list number on the holley website will give you all the factory jetting, parts, and calibrations. I always start from the stock setup. To my knowledge every carb holley made is in their technical library.

I thought the three barrel vacuum pod used the same size diaphragm as a Sixpack two barrel. Am I wrong?
And yep, getting the third barrel working right on your car was the secret, and the three barrels downfall.
Kinda the same with the TQ.....got the secondary air door set just right when on the street (no hook) but as soon as I stuck on slicks at the track and the car dead hooked, there was a slight but quick stumble off the line.

i was thinking on putting it on my the 440 going into the 62 but that ain't going to work. so it will be going on a 390 AMC im building. it will be a full on nuts mill when done solid roller 7500+ rpm kind of thing.
it will be going into a 2700 pound car with 4.10 and a 2.89 first gear very close square cut gear 4speed. im old and like the old ways... and becides. waxing a new rustang with T-rex tech.... love it... lol

How much were they?
109.00 by the time it got here.

According to the information contained in the YouTube video above the vacuum diaphragms are not the same as the ones used in 6-pack carbs.

I know the 950's work a lot better than the 1050's do when it comes to tuning due to the different booster design in the 1050.

hi Tom. . ya this is a 950 and someone at some point put a rear block on it. im going to go stock with it and see what happens. then go from there.

Was that a "new" part, or new OLD stock?
new. it seems that thay make a few from time to time. kinda have to catch them when thay feel like doing it.
the white powder on it is from when thay make them. wipes right off.

The white powder stuff is called bloom, anyone in the rubber industry knows that. I once looked at a 66 Belvedere 426 Hemi, with only 29 miles on it. It still had that white bloom on the door and trunk seals. The first time I had ever seen that on an old car.

o boy .... now i have all the missing parts to finish this thing... happy dance:bananadance:

to bad she put the flouts in the wrong spot..... brass needs to go in the back.
My new brawler has the brass float in the front, the plastic float in the rear, because of the cutouts for jet extensions. I think that is common nowadays.
Edit: I guess it won't matter on a 3bbl. No jets on the rear, metering
plate only, right?
