I saw this last week. Friggin amazing, if its real... The technology for scanning the part into a 3D print is out there I know that. How this thing can layer the power/resin mix in a 3D form I'm questioning..
Amazing! I do know that smaller versions of this printer exist, for home handymen. Its called ????????? in a box and is about 2 foot cubed and made of plywood. They'll be on youtube somewhere.
If you think that is cool, look up Direct Metal Laser Sintering. You can make parts from inconel, titanium, aluminum, etc. What do you think will happen when 440source gets hold of this? Seriously, there is technology out there that blows your mind! Maybe I'll hang on to those old rusty 70 Satellite fenders and rear bumpers after all. Look out AMD!
