Ok gents, I need some input. I've read through the threads talking about Manual disk/drum combos; hydoboost applications, and all the conversions to front disk from drum. Here's the deal. This Hemi runs low vacuum so a vacuum set up is out of the question. I have no intention of installing a power steering pump to run a hydroboost system. I need some input on what a non-boosted, dual master cylinder, 4 wheel disk brake set-up is going to act like. Here are the stats;

1964 Dodge 330 (~3550lbs)
Front/ rear disk brakes
A-833 manual trans
Manual steering

Thanks in advance.

Where are you getting your brakes from? I would call someone like Wilwood, ask them about what master to use. I am sure they can point you in the right directions.

If all else fails you could go to an electric assist like on some modern German cars and minivans.

Jim Bob The Dancing Bear is right you can go with a electric vacum pump we carry them through SSBC. Check out ssbrakes.com they have a full line of disc brake conversion. Plus we sell all of thier line and you can use your members discount.

Thanks

Andy F's new B Body book has a chapter on brakes for our cars that answers a lot of questions about parts compatability and selection, it is a good read.

I run the 11.75 mopar front and 88 tbird rear (Ssbc kit) with a vette master cylinder. Little stiff but very responsive and plenty of grunt to bring it down in a hurry... with no booster.
