Looking to run my '63 in NSS. Rules require that I run a 2X4 intake and Carter carbs. I have a set of Carter Performance carbs rated at 750cfm each. Will a 426 wedge 2X4 intake work? Is the Edelbrock Performer 2X4 a better choice. Were talking a 3800# car, 440, 8" converter, probably a 590 purple stripe cam, and moderate head work, although I have no heads as of yet. Any ideas on intake and head choice? Thanks

Fly9999,The inline edelbrock 2x4 will work fine use a 1"open plenum you need the added volume!750 carbs are right,If you choose the xram use 1/2"open spacers!I had the inline on mine,it ran a best of 10.62@125mph in a 1/4.had a bigger cam 646 lift solid cam.As for as the heads, the 440 source stealth heads aren't bad!One thing I'd though thrash the valves, and keepers go to the 10 degree style! It's cheap insurance!I know from experience!!!! Indy SRs aren't bad expensive though.
