440 toy before the 572 twin turbo

Jim built this engine for me SUPER excited. Jim has been incredible to work with. The engine does not have a specific home yet. The 572 turbo that he mentioned in the tag line will be going in the satellite. That is if Bill Mitchel will ever get the aluminum block done. Once again thanks to Jim for all his hard work.

Jim, did you work over the RPM intake? As far as I know the RPM manifold becomes the bottle neck above 300cfm flow.

Oh yeah, nothing really extensive. We didn't get what Hughes Engines claims they got, but for our $250 service we did see an average improvement of 44 cfm from 291 cfm to a 335 cfm.

That's pretty impressive! Do you mind sharing which areas need work? I'm located in Austria and sending my manifold to you just isn't an option unfortunately.

It was a joke - When Jim built my engine last year I sent him an email that said: "Jim, is it sacrilegious to paint a 440 Hemi Orange?"... and He said, "If you want your engine Hemi Orange, your going to get it Hemi Orange!"

And, I got my engine Hemi Orange, LOL! The Hemi Orange looks great don't it?...

Tim Borrall manifold test

#1 your head port 4 or 5 slightly cleaned up with no intake on it
#2 your head w/ OOTB 440 RPM intake
#3 your head w/ ported 440 RPM intake. This intake made 640 LB-FT and 627 HP on a 496 stroker with a bigger solid street roller but with heads that only flowed 292 cfm @ .500” and 309 cfm @ .600”. Again, your head is in column #1
#4 your head w/ ported 6-pack intake
#5 your head w/ported Victor 440 intake, slight mismatch as the intake opening was bigger than your head port opening (wrong way mismatch).
