It's a 65 cross member I will attach a couple of pictures when I was build car k frame is not cut at all..first is the right side lots of clearance second picture is the left side clearance.. I can more pictures of it on car

KK, I saw those threads, and ended up confused anyway, so I posted in hope of coming away with a solution, but the wheels are still spinning. I'm starting to think I may grab a 7qt pan, and try to cut out 1"-2" of depth from the sump, to increase ground clearance, but it seems like a lot of work, for less capacity ? I think I should have kept my '69 Bee years ago, and retired Happy, and with some extra $$ in my pocket ! Thanks for the feedback & help on this...

If you are going the larger qt pan the milodon 31010 installed nicely on mine. I had to shave a little off the k member but that was mainly because I wanted the extra clearance. It hangs low so you could definitely take an inch out no problem.

Someone asked how low the 440 Source 7 qt. pan sits. Here's a pic of my 440 with the 7 qt. pan installed. Car is sitting on rollers so its a little higher than it would be if it were sitting just on the tires. I trimmed just a touch of the crossmember for added clearance. Took all of 5 minutes to do.

I know this subject has been on many times already, as I spent the morning trying to get a "Good" part #, and Vendor to order from previous posts. Current build is a 440 for my '63 Dodge, '62-'65 V-8 K-member, with Schumacher mounts. Looking for a 5qt+1 oil pan that will work. I don't mind doing some slight clearance work on the right side corner of the K-member for insurance purposes. Sorry to beat a dead horse on this subject, just looking for a up to date source. Thanks for all input...

I made a small "L" shaped notch in the K member at the right front corner of where the pan sits. Maybe 3/4" front to back and 1 1/2" toward the driver's side, but don't even think that's necessary. New motor mounts so the engine sits up high enough would insure it clears. If you enlarge these pictures you can see the notch at the left, in this case with a 6 quart Mopar pan.

I did contact 440 Source for their 7qt pan, Part # 121-1007, and they NO longer offer that pan. When speaking to their Rep, he said they offer NO PANS that fit a '62-'65 K-member any longer, due to the fact they had very little interest in anyone looking for them, thus DISCONTINUED ?
