$500- 68 charger

You could make it removable and wear the big one for a while then change it out if you wanted to.
I sure like the look of those tail lights.

My fiberglass bolt-on trunk lid/pos came today. It has quite a few defects that I'll have to fix before paint.

Where did you order that trunk lid from? It definitely needs some work, but if the price is right a little elbow grease can make up for it.

it looks like something my buddy got from Mr Fiberglass back in the early 90s....Im sure you will make is A 1

I got it from a company in canada, I'd rather not even mention their name, very poor quality. It was made ok as far as shape and strength, just wasn't finished right around the edges, gap widths, etc. It needs a lot of work but I can fix it. I decided to bolt it on first. I was able to reduce the pressure on the torsion spring rods that raise it since the glass lid is lighter. The quick pins are going to work nice and aren't too tuff to install. I may put the seal on tomorrow.

I've been sanding defects out on the underside of the lid for a couple of hours every evening for a week or two and just applied some bondo-glass to some of the major areas tonight. The underside and edges had most all the defects. I'll get those fixed then prep the top which doesn't need much, then paint. I'm painting it satin for now myself and may get my painter to do it and the hood with gloss later.

Got a lot done to the lid. I had to extend the edges in a few spots because it was basically about 1/8 smaller almost all the way around, which made the gaps a tad to big. The rear bottom edge was short also.

I took my 727 trans to a guy that runs a b body mopar at the area strips, 10.5 @ 130mph. He has a 440/512 with 2- 800 hollys and says it makes around 600hp. He is a 727 expert. He tore mine down while I watched and found no defects other than average wear. I told him I hoped to use it on the 400/512 later but the 440 1st. , and I wanted to be able to put it in D and let it shift itself when I race. Mostly because that's how lazy I am, and also that way I can keep both hands on the wheel, lol.

Those quick pins are bad azz. Custom part of my brain wants them flush fit and paint. With just the button showing.

I've finished closing up the gaps. This lid has been a lot of work, looking forward to being done with it.

I have to smooth out a few dinks on the top that shouldn't take long. The underside was tuff with all the curves. As can be seen in earlier pics, the underside had spots that looked like painted over masking tape, but the tape was on the lid the mold was from, covering holes that some owner had chopped in the original lid. I think he put on a wing or luggage rack. And there were places with dents that looked like someone hit it with a bat. In other words they didn't bother to even fix the underside of the junky lid they made the mold from, but the top was fairly ok..... Also got a couple more goodies today..

Got the underside painted today. Going to wait a couple of days to let it dry good then spray the top. I'll say it's almost perfect., funny, I'll work on somethings like this till I finally say "that's good enough, I'm tired of messing with it"., It's way better than it was anyway., so far.
