53 3/8 8 3/4 housing width

53 3/8" is the flange to flange bare housing width. Does anyone know what this is out of?

I need stock axles for it if I can figure out what length I need.

Not sure about the 53-3/8"....may be an issue with the condition of my or your tape measure.
