540 himi degree

hello need help
have 540 stroker kit from bill mitchell new block 4.5 bore a isky cam nothing big is it unusual for crank gear be 6 degrees retard to get the cam card specs?

No not really may just be an add up of tolerances and key/dowel positions.
Double check your set-up to be sure.
If you get the same result then it should be right.
What degreeing method are you using?
