Because It's Wednesday we need wagons! This one was up for sale not long ago. It was handily made into a 2 door and looks great!

Here's another shot of Dick Landy. tmm

These Landy photos were taken at my home track, Dover Dragstrip in Wingdale, NY. The date is June 27th, 1965 and was a match race against our local Bill Flynn, The Yankee Peddler. Best 2 out of 3, I think they made 5 runs all together. Landy took em' all running a best of 9.92 @140...Nick

Great story Nick and thanks for the photo of the Yankee Peddler. I understand that Dick Landy never lit his cigar. LOL

OOOOOO I just noticed this. Look who is behind in the second lane. Can Dandy Dick shift his way to the finish line? Catch his cigar? Looks like he's up on the wheel ready to bang second! This is early 4 lane drag racing.
lol

Thanks, A couple are mine and a couple are from Hemi itis. I really like the look of these wagons especially, although Mopar made lots of cool looking ones. tmm

Did you take those Landy pics yourself, Nick? Nice shots.

I found a few shots of Landy's first AWB car. The car started as a standard wheelbase, superstock automatic car but Dick modified it for match racing in the fall of 64. The car was retired and in 65 Dick campaigned a A/FX (A/ factory experimental) car built by Mopar. He was a pioneer with the use of the A100 straight axles and seats. tmm
