FuryUS63 has been doing a great job also. You guys post away. If I'm not around it's because I am spending time with my Mom who is 88 and having some problems.
If you haven't been, Beech Bend Raceway is one of the oldest operating tracks with covered grandstands in existence. .just wanted wanted to throw that out there lol. If you get a chance, it's a great place to spend a weekend. They even have a huge camping area right next to the track. Nothing like waking up to the small of racing fuel!! Anyway that's my shameless plug for the day. One last thing, the Holley hot rod reunion is coming fathers day weekend. Talking about a blast! Tons of racing from the " Glory Days of Drag racing. Now back to our regularly
scheduled programming lol.
Great pics ! Sorry to hear about your mom's as I am in the same boat with my mom. She is 85 and in a nursing home 1 hr from my house but I run up and see her about 3 times a week. They told us she wont be coming home as we kinda new that after she had a stroke. Lucky for me my brother lives 5 minutes from the nursing home so he goes the days I cant. Ron
Sorry to hear about your mom also 383man. Will be throwing a few prayers both ways. Maybe these pictures can possibly lighten the mood a little. We do what we can during difficult times. Maybe these photos help. jimmyd
TMM, Darter6, 383man. Prayers for all of you and your families. I just hope I'm lucky enough to live as old as my grandparents (mom's side). Both made it to there early ninety's before passing on and luckily no serious health issues until right before passing away. I bought my first mopar from them when I was 16. Big old boat. 74 plymouth fury with a 360 in it. good luck all and god bless.
Nice pics. If I didnt know better the pic of Jerry Daily was at Pences later known as Shelby County Raceway north of Dayton, Oh. Sure looks like it, but the old memory banks are fading.
