62 Belvedere 318 poly granny cruiser (one day i hope)

These i love and they are cheaper than steels... but wouldn't look right on there i don't think

$143 for these.. kinda like them too :) .... i am shocked how much more steels cost.. prolly cause only coker and WV make them.. Vision have good prices on their wheels. One thing that surprised me was how heavy the rear wheel vintiques were, was really shocked when they came in

Not a fan. Those are a popular drag race wheel now days. Lot of photos of 62's on the net but many are steelies and dog dish.

It depends on the look you want.

Chrome looks great on red. It is a dress up look though.

yeah, i don't think chrome works with black rears though... i'm gonna watch market place for a pair of rims to show up, they only made like 50 million of them :) the current tires will have to last a bit longer, i should check the date code on them, they are probably from before 78 when it was parked

Not one photo with different wheels on each end. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I always liked these. Styled like a 69 wheel cover.

K.. so got off my a$$ today finally... pulled the long trim off my front fender.. i stored it bad and it has a little bow, gonna let it sit with some weight on it to let it relax easily back into a better shape...

BUT... the rear of my left quarter was hit decades ago right where the trim is next to the decklid.. hit pretty well with something sharp.. I ended up pulling the trim off and hammered it back out today.. It's not perfect but will be ok.. if i were going to fix it properly i would actually cut it out and make new metal, hard spot to hammer and i suck at repairing dents. Anyway, i had to pull the trim off and it had like plastic push pins to hold it in other than 3 metal clips. I am hoping someone makes these? I'm gonna try to fix the trim since a replacement would be silly expensive, it's pretty bad though.

You can see the hit on the top left here (don't have a better pic)

OHHH.. also.. you can see in this pic.. the decklid is about 1/4-3/8" higher on the right.. i have spent about a hour adjusting the latch and playing with the hinges but it doesn't get better... hoping the car isn't bent or something stupid.. Almost temped to put in rubber screw height adjusters like the hood has... any ideas? common issue?

Talking about the deck lid height, do you have an old or newer seal on it? If you have an old seal things will change when you install a new one. It looks like it needs a little chiropractor adjustment. Not much though.

yeah it's the original '62 seal.. i'm gonna get someone to help while i get in the trunk and adjust hinges... after that it's more bending time..

And i realized after posting i can just get more of the spring/nut type clips for the trim piece.. don't need the plastic things
