Picked up this beautiful 62 4dr awhile back and now getting ready to start its 2dr conversion. Had some rust free fenders shipped in from CA to make about 99% rust free now.
The 62 is my favorite year plymouth "B"2 or 4 door. Good luck with your build and we will be watching as more are doing(and wanting to) that conversion.
Getting ready to dissect the 1/4 donor section from the 2dr sedan. Going to separate outer skin from inner section and blast all the parts and prime so can go back together new and clean. Will drill out all spot welds and put back together on car. Remove 4drs, remove center post, open rocker area where new section going on, tack in inner quarter section, hang outer quarter skin. And finess. Kinda straight forward. If you look closely in pics you can see in the photo of the backside inner of the 2dr sedan section where the rear door would fit if was going to be a 4dr.
Did this to my 63 wagon years ago and looked great. After this one its on to my buddies 63 belvedere.
Pulled front and rear seats out today and started trimming out the ds donor quarter section. Tomorrow ds doors come off and the magic really starts to happen.
