62 Plymouth 2dr Sedan Comversion- getting ready

Looks good… But I can't help but thin what kind of fun you could've gotten into leaving the back door on the passenger side, could've had a rare 3 door, lol…

She's now a 2dr

Did some more blocking and primering on drivers side then finished on passengers side. Now time to strip off the rest of exterior trim and get car ready for massaging and paint.

Lol...it's titled as a 4dr. Not sure how thatd work to even have changed? I know color change is easy but this is little different.

Stripping of trim. Time to start sanding down and fixing the small problem areas on rear valance.

This is a cool mod to make and you made it look easy. Very nice work. That's going to be a sweet ride, i'm subscribed too. Bang on man...

Merry Christmas to me :)

Been picking up some of my driveline parts. Have had a pushbutton trans completely gone thru and high stall built for early trans. Have a solid 440 lower end build and picked up the crossram awhile back. But scored this excellent pair of stage II Max wedge heads today. They've been sitting on a shelf for probably 20-30 years but still great shape. Have had hardened seats put in, new guides and more done to them, painted to protect and then put away till needed... Or in this case, sold to me for my project.

looks good I've always wanted to do that but leave it a 3 door. the drivers side is all business and passenger side is more accessible for the wife and kids.

There's a (I think) blue '63 B-body already like this on another thread here on the board. Looks neat too!
Here's mine I did it 3 years ago. I tell people at shows that it was a Calif taxi. I put a magnetic TAXI sine on the roof.
There is no way anybody can tell it was ever a 4 door.
I decided to go the rest of the way and am looking for a 64/65 sedan door, I have the quarter.
That's a matching 14' 1962 Chrysler runabout boat, with a 30 HP Chrysler engine.

Love your 65. I saw your wtb ad just got rid of a passengers door about a month or so ago and will ask around to see if buddies have one.

I did the other blue 63 Plymouth I posted on here and did a 63 Plymouth wagon into 2dr a few years back too. I think it's on here too.

got a doner car for my 62 dart, but it is a hardtop,I think I'll hold out for a post car.
Got a friend up here that has done 3 or 4 conversions,he said he'd hold my hand through it.
Yours looks awesome!Did they ever make a plain jane dart hardtop? hmmmm!

Great build. Your car turned out nice. I am in the middle of the same build on my 63 Savoy only a little more extensive. My build is in the project section to check out if you like. I installed a new floor with a 4 speed hump. Also new quarters which aren't on yet as l am waiting for some rocker panels. Enjoy.
