Picked this sedan up last week, not sure what plans are but for price I couldn't pass up. Came with doors also. Worst rust is in cowl corners as seen in pic. Floors really solid and only center of trunk rotted. Bought mainly for quarters which are amazing but after picking up realize it could be built as racer or? I've got almost everything that's missing already from car so??? Opinions?

I know were there are about 3-4 62 Plymouth 4doors sitting and a 62 dart 2 door.

Strip that thing down, and de-crust it. Could be better than you think, if it doesn't crumble in your hand.

Sonny had a '62 Belvedere same ugly peeling color.....I painted it black and it looked great! I let my uncle use it and he parked it in his driveway (on a hill)....you guessed it .....rolled backward down the hill and totaled itself.....1 month after painting...:disgust:

Drears.....

Just leave the paint. Or get a good 4 door and make it a 2 door.

Good score!

I got an idea for you Rolling Thunder. Take what parts you have and get the car cobbled back together as best as you can. Don't paint it because kids these days are looking for "patina". Next, multiply whatever you paid for the car by a nice even number like 8 or 12. Then list it on Craigslist and be sure to use the words "rare" and "barn find". :icon_rabbit:

All kidding aside you should copy this guys style.

pick up a more door and start doing a resto on it ... ( or pro tour it )

Lol I've got more than enough parts already. That's one reason its so tempting to put together.

Someone was asking about the power wagon in background too... It's my buddies and he won't sell. Hopefully he starts on it soon.

Here's some more 62's I've got plus the 63. Baby blue is a sport fury 2dr ht, dark blue is a belvedere that's about to be 2dr sedan converted. Also have another 62 sport fury on storage. So between all cars and parts have sources for them can build "crusty"

Got it back home and bolted up the doors. Don't know what I'm going to do with the old girl. Car is very build able but has bad cowl rust in upper corners. Front floors not terrible but needs rear foot area pans. Trunk center gone too but outside areas and extensions solid. The quarters are super nice also. Must have sat with debris in cowl and rotted it.

Dang . . . I really like those cars . . . if I didn't have my 67 Belvedere convertible to work on . . . I'd be talking to you about adding one of those to my project list . . .

Those are really COOL ! ! !

Project Tetanus - the resurection

Bolting on some of the extras from my other projects. Hood, deck lid, tail lights, fenders and rest of front end assy. She's starting to look like a car again.
