I did try to sell it but there does not appear to be any takers.Sold the nss race motor and cruise night here I come---need a cross ram though--Mike

Another opinion

I was talking to John Cope (the transmission guy) and he recommended Hooker Super Comps because of better transmission clearance and cable clearance for the PB shift cable on my '63 Fury with a 440. He says the others are too tight to the transmission if you have to remove or work on them. Just another thought.

i used a plastic wire tie to pull the cables together on my 65 coronet with 2" tti's and that gave plenty of clearance.

Spent the day testerday putting engine in car and the new hedmans---seem to fit ok but still hit the pitman arm joint---beginning to think it is the wrong arm as it looked a little long when I had the engine out---thought I was seeing things lol.--Mike

On my old Dart years ago I heated and bent the pitman arm a tad to get cleareance. It worked fine. Ron

Thanks, hear ya about the dart--been there-- I have shimmed the motor up ,shimmed the steering box down--there are two things left---it is the wrong arm or I am bending it---presently waiting for big socket I don't have then we will see---Mike

I just put the 78030 heddman ones in my 64 Belvedere with a 400. They hit everywhere. Pass side collector rests on trans pan rail, Both sides hit centre link, drivers side hit's the starter and won't tighten up, passenger side bottom hits the pan rail of the block. Going in the junk pile. Might be ok for a 440 but not for a 383-400 block. Not worth the headaches. Going back to Hi-po manifolds. Then I can have power steering too!

all the mis-fit issues stated here is why i spend the bucks and buy tti. i have tti systems on both my cars and they're a perfect fit. money well spent.

Hello all. While we are on the header issue what are the biggest tube diameter you can get from TTI or Headman that can go it the car without any fitment issues. Also if you have bigger then 2" who does a nice header.
