I have a 63 savoy that I'm building into a max wedge clone. Does anyone know what wheels would have been original to a factory max wedge car? The car is manual steering manual brakes if that makes any difference

Maximum Performance Dodge and Plymouth cars for 62-64 were equipped with 14X5.5K painted steel wheels, per my book written by Jim Schild. However on the same page he shows a picture of an original tire and wheel comb that was from a 1964 Maxi that is a 14X6.5. Soooooooooooooo I would say 14X6.5 because 5.5 is very skinny even for the time.
7.50x14 super cushion tires with black walls standard WW's were an option in the same size.

14x6.5 with 5 on 4.5 pattern? And what kind of hubcaps? This may be elementary but I've gotten mixed answers

You can buy them new, even Summit have them, small hub cap large bolt pattern, I like the 15x8 15x6 look.

The 14 x 5.5 was standard. You could upgrade the rears to the 6.5". Wheelcovers or buttons were all available.

You can get the book for everything about max wedge cars from THE AUTO REVIEW.

the hub cap was the large 9 3/4". finding wheels for those caps may not be easy. they're not re-popped.

The correct 14" X 6.5" are rarer than hen's teeth. They were over the counter parts. They were standard on hearses and airport-type limos if anyone runs into those.
