64 Belvedere cheater slicks sizing

Hey guys. I want to run some Pie Crust cheater slicks on my 64 Belvedere. Wondering the optimal size to get. Stock wheel well. I have 15x7 steelies but would get 15x8’s if better. Going for this look. Thanks.

The piecrust cheaters I found were 8.20x15 for a seven inch wheel, or a 10.00x15, for an eight inch wheel. BOTH, are over 30 inches tall, so the first thing you will need to do is determine whether you can fit a 30, or not.
(If not, you can move the rear end back a bit. Mine is moved back an inch, could fit a 30 pretty easily. )
I have seen shorter piecrusts, but they were recaps, and I don't remember the name of the company.

28.5" tall should fit. As for tire width, it depends on the backspace on your wheels and their width.
With the right backspace, a 10x28.5 will fit, but the wheel has to be exactly right . For your seven inch rim, the 8" or 9" is a better choice.
Do you still have the tapered axle 8 3/4 in your car?

BEST advice is do your own measurements on YOUR car.
Rumor is the 64 tapered axle rear is wider than the 62/63 or 65.
Most say that 8 or 8.5 wide rim works well with 4.5" backspace.
I have a 62, with (I think) a 65 housing and axles. I've got a 10.5x28 slick on mine, with a wheel with 4 7/8 b.s., but I use a .300 spacer(essentially becomes 4.5") to center it up, and get the tire away from the spring. I've also got a 10x28 slick on a 4 3/4 b.s. that fits good.
Your 15x7 will work great with somewhere around 4" b.s.
( I don't do that offset crap. Offset has to be calculated, then you have to figure out which direction is plus which is minus. Backspace can be measured, with or without a tire on the rim.)

I don't because our stuff doesn't have the stock axle. Pull the wheel. Use a carpenter square against the rotor/drum. Then measure to the lip outward and the spring inward. Remember offset is measured to the wheel.lip. So any wheel you get treat it as 1" wider. A 8" wheel with zero back space will have 4 1/2 " backspace. 4 1/2"+ 4 1/2" = 9" - 1" (for wheel lip width) = 8"
