Like 5.7 says, use the truck timing cover if you can. It keeps the alternator up high on the engine and prevents the possible interferences with the frame rail. To avoid confusion from his picture, he made spacers to mount the car style manifold with the truck timing cover...that would not be your typical installation.

Carbon fiber seems a bit overkill.... why not just fiberglass? or do you want the look?
