So, I have an opportunity to pick up a 65 Belvedere II that comes with the original complete 361/727 8-3/4 package but currently has a 440 in that comes too for 2100.00 The interior is complete just needs front seat done. All trim except driver front fender. Glass is good and no rust original cali car. Does this sound reasonable to the masses? Also I would need to come to Cali from Oregon to get it. Opinions here........... All will be listened to. : )

When I get some picts I will post. Just trying to feel out the opinions at this point

Belv. II

If it is as solid as it sounds and is reasonably straight running or not I'd say it sounds like a good prospect. I'll be posting pics of my 65 satellite hopefully soon. Good luck!

Hitch up the wagon and haul ***!

I am not too familiar with the 361 or it's specs/numbers ETC. The 440 that it has in it right now is a 68 so it has a good crank in it still. If I get this I may rebuild the 361 since I am looking at a driver status for the Belvedere and drop the 440 in the Dart that I am building for my wife to race. It is going to have a 318 in it to get her some seat time but I know her well enough to know that she will be wanting to go faster then the 318 will let her go.

Sounds good from here.. as long as it's a rust free car! Missing parts are your biggest issue with early B-body's. trim pieces are real difficult but can be found, you'll pay for decent items.. As a driver you can't beat a 361 in my opinion, 300hp and a little better gas mileage to boot!!

From what I am being told the only missing trim piece is the one on the driver front fender. But supposedly the rest are in driver condition quality. Which is what I am looking to do with it anyway.

Sounds like a real fine car. How about putting an A-100 axle underneath it???!!! If its relatively close to me in SoCal, I can take a look to let you know. And no, I have no intentions of stealing it away. I have three straightaxle projects going currently!!

I will keep this in mind and I appreciate the offer to go and look at it. The car is in Rancho Cucamonga (SP ?) anyway, I am interested in the A-100 thing not for this but to pick your brain for info on it. Is that what is used on all of these straight axle race cars? We have a bunch of them here at our local track for the Oldies but Goodies and Hot Rad National races. I was thinking that it might be kinda bad *** to do my wife's Dart as a straight axle. Would the A-100 stuff work for a Dart too?

Am in the process of building a 65 Belvedere II. Am building a semi-A990 looking body. I have removed all the chrome. I have it all if you need it for your fender.
My problem is transmission lines. I intalled a 440 with 727 transmission. Used TTI Headers. Now transmission lines won't work because the hit the headers. Know of anything out there that will fit or will these have to be fabricated ?
