'66 Belvedere Drum to Disc conversion questions

Hi everyone, I know this question has been asked before and there are several different opinions. I currently have manual drums all the way around with a single reservoir master. My goal is to get the most braking without breaking the bank! I've been looking at the Right Stuff and Pirate Jack power, 4 wheel kits that'll run about $1200 - $1300 or so. Powder coated calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, etc. look nice and might be a nice upgrade.

I know there is RamMan and Dr. Diff. that have more of a factory reproduction kit, but they're prices for a similar setup seem much higher. Seems like there are a variety of booster / proportioning valve options, etc. I pretty much understand the brake parts installation, but haven't seen much that really describes the booster / proportioning valve, hard lines, etc. I'm looking for a kit that doesn't involved drilling into the firewall if possible. I'm running 15" Magnums and don't plan on ever using 14" wheels, so am also wondering about 11" versus 11.75 / 12" kits. I'm also going to install front and rear sway bars I picked up from Summit Racing. I believe this will cause a caliper clearance issue and require rear mounted calipers up front.

If anyone can comment on any of the above questions / thoughts that would be great. Basically, I'm wondering if anyone has used the Right Stuff / Pirate Jack / MBM kits and can comment on installation / quality /longevity, etc? Issues I might encounter, etc? Or should I pay the extra and go the Dr. Diff. / Ram Man route?

If you want to keep the cost down, you really don't need 4 wheel discs.

Installed Dr Diff front disc conversion w 15/16" manual master cylinder. Kept rear drums. 1967 Coronet 440 4dr. Brake pedal feel is incredible. Does not require a lot of pressure at all and does not have a long pedal stroke. Stops on a dime. Unless you are gonna track day it with repeated hard braking for the turns, manual front discs are perfect and super simple to install.

Thanks for the replies everyone... I was just following another thread about Ram Man vs. Dr. Diff. before checking here and was adding Dr. Diff parts to my shopping cart to see what it totals up to. I guess I had already decided to go the Dr. Diff. route. Haha! I do understand 4 wheel disc isn't necessary, but I'm trying to make the car drive, handle and stop as nice and safe as possible. When going to disk,( non power) either fronts only or 4 wheel ,are you guys changing to 3/16" from 1/4"?. I have a Wilwood 15/16 master, proportional valve and 4 wheel Wilwood disk brakes. I ordered a brake line kit from Inline tube for my 64' and never gave a thought as to size, their website or product info for this kit doesn't mention what size it is. I have an email into them now ,just wanted to hear what you guys thought about it.
