66 Belvedere II Hemi Project

Wow! 2 years later......I got the radiator and fan shroud in it and it seems to stay about midway on the gauge, could be the sending unit isn't the right one. Haven't been driving it much at all. It just sits, as I don't trust it since I didn't build it. It runs and drives pretty well, but hot restart and drive is sketchy at best with a lot of vapor lock.
I absolutely love how a B body rides. I worked a bunch on the Coronet and took it to Carlisle and had a blast with it.
Over the past 2 years I have been buying all kinds of parts, mostly small parts. I now have 3 or 4 sets of side moldings, 3 gas caps, a steering wheel with horn ring, 14" correct wheels, 742 center section with correct 3.23 gears, new muffler hangers, and hubcaps.
Big parts are a complete 66 hemi transmission, with converter and dipstick tube assembly. And this past weekend, I got my correct 66 Hemi Kmember, hemi torsion bars and correct rear leaf springs.
Last of the big parts will be a stroker kit for the hemi. Leaning towards a 4" stroke. I figure I need the crank reconditioned, new rods and a set of pistons anyway, so a stroker kit just seems to make sense.
Here are some pics of the leaf springs.

In regards to your master cyl hitting the starter relay.

You have to keep in mind.

The relay bracket is 1966 Hemi cars only.
And on 66 B bodies disc brakes were avail
BUT the master cyl is still the same single pot as on drum brake cars, just with a taller reservoir ( shown here )

If you want to run dual master you to flip rear relay so they bolt one on top. A 1970 dual master may work with passengers side outlets,$$$

Thanks but that was over a year ago, I figured it out. I didn't want to chance a single piston MC, had one fail on me in the 70s and just can't shake that gnawing feeling in the back of my brain. Lol
