Hey folks it's been a bit since I've posted here as I have been working on a 65' Fury with a 318 Poly. Anyway my wife inherited a 66' Charger with the 318 Poly engine. Her father had the engine rebuilt, blocked was decked, 218 .461 camshaft was installed along with and electronic ignition. A 4bbl edelbrock 600 sits on top of a weiand 7503 single plane intake. The ole girl is pretty doggy, the 65 Fury 318 I built is A LOT faster with the stock 2bbl dual plane intake, a 2bbl holley 500 with a 264 .450 cam, mechanical ignition, tti headers, the heads were cleaned up and milled to give 10:1 compression. On the 66 Charger I haven't played with the timing or checked the valve lash on it yet but I feel like it should be much faster than my Fury. I'll play with the timing and check valve lash later this week/weekend. I have thought about putting the stock 2bb intake back on and putting a 2bbl holley 500 on it since it seemed to work for the Fury but any other insight would be great and appreciate it a ton!
