Can anyone out there give me some tech help on some 66 charger headlights?
They won't open with the switch. All new relays too. If I pull all the wires odd the relays and put current to the purple wire, they open. Power to the red/white wire they close. New h/s also. When I pull the switch, they click.. Any help is really appreciated

Hit the Google- look for the Charger supplement for the factory service manual. It is available on the net free, I cant recall where I found it, though. It walks you through complete diagnosis and servicing for anything Charger specific. Headlites, EL gauges, etc...

Did you use aftermarket modern-type relays made by someone? Did you make your own? The bodies of the originals were grounded to the chassis. The aftermarket/modern one will require a one separate ground on the "control" relay.

First, check that you have power and ground in the appropriate places on the relays. I know that's basic, but if you apply power and they open and close, then you likely have no power or ground.

It could also be the open/close signal from the headlight switch. It's really just a "headlights on/off" signal from the switch. You can fake it easily enough with a 12V jumper. It's the light green wire.

The relays are also power through the circuit breaker- if it's shot, you'll have no power at the relays. Ask me how I know...
