66 Hemi Charger, Shameful!

that was posted before, in a another thread, what a waste for sure, the 426 Hemi & drivetrain is still there

The 426 Hemi engine, it doesn't look that bad in the photos, the rest of the car looks toast, but 426 Hemi, 4 speed, Dana 60, could still be worth something...

if the add is accurate 46k miles, {who knows} & if it was much closer, I'd at-least look at it, for the current bid of $10,900, just for the complete drive-train... but pitchers are deceiving thou, IIRC someone said it looks allot worse in person...

Will it buff out?

Well, scratch that one from the 66 hemi 4 spd Charger active list. I know of four hemi 4 spd 66 Chargers and they are all in the SF bay area and one of them is white with the burgundy red interior.

I have visited there a number of times, how do you keep your mopar safe with all that goes on?

From my experience they always look worse in person.

I love that! My Daughter lives in Oakland, going to berkely. I'm going to tell her that.

did anyone else see the one guy bid $24,500 and immediately retract his bid?

Really! I work at the opposite end of Berkeley, which isn't bad, and used to work at the Berkeley lab up the hill from her. Just tell her to stay away from the area around 66th ave. Should be easy to do since it's not near the campus. And I'm sure she already knows where Top Dog, LaValls pizza and the burrito place is.

I'll tell you what would really suck - or what would be shameful in all this. This car sells for nearly $20K with people fighting over it, and my car (hemi 4 spd), which has a nearly flawless body and not a patched up pile of rust, can't even get a phone call for $65K. Basically a done car, in red with white interior and a date correct drivetrain.

She is about 2 miles south of the campus? barely into Oakland. I didn't care for it, but kids.

About 22 hrs to go!

Anyone know how to make a poll? Maybe a little late, but I would ask the question:

Will it meet reserve and sell?

Or no sale?

Probably spends all her free time on Telegraph Ave with the hippies. Not the worst thing to do; very busy area and no where near the Coliseum. She should go to Brennan's sometime. A great Hofbrau place at the end of University.

sold for $17.7k.....wonder if he will get his money or if someone bid just to find out reserve?

Interesting trick.

But keep the VIN handy (XP29H61249684) and look for a potential rebody. Would be nice to send the info to the hemi registry with the ebay ad.

It happens. In 2001 I had a badly rusted 67' R/T documented one owner car. It needed major reconstruction, even then I had my doubts. I traded it for a Dart in South Dakota.
A few year later I'm having a beer in Phoenix at my Brother's house, and watching an Auction on TV, of a gold R/T. I thought, gee that's nice. Advertised as a true two owner from the Midwest. Never any rust, not a mark on it. Pristine.Same color ,everywhere. Same history lecture of the car's originality. It sold for $25,000 and went to Reno. I saw the Vin# in the post. I keep all my Insurance cards no matter how far back. It was my old car. There was no way that was my car, though. I thought about calling the cops, but what would they do?
