67 GTX driveshaft question

Hello everyone I have been working on my car for quite some time and have always come across some incorrect part from time to time I need to know if the original driveshaft comes with the damper on the front yoke 440 auto I will be sending the shaft out possibly building a new one but would like to know that the one I am giving him to work off of is correct thanks any pics appreciated​

Think it does, my 66 has one and had a 68 without. Should have 1330 u-joints also.

I have never had a 67 GTX with the front damper but I have had 2 67 Coronet R/T's with the damper. Your question, I don't know.

Ive seen them with & without my dad had 2 of them the 4spd 67 gtx had one the auto 67 gtx did not

gtxno1, do you have a factory service manual? If not get one. Not always 100% accurate on this type question, but generally very helpful. My '66 manual says that for the Belvedere/Satellite 426W auto used a front damper style. Check the '67 manual. They may have started to phase them out in '67. Unless you are going for a show car points deal, I wouldn't build a new shaft with the damper. Just my opinion.

More than likely a new one will be made I was hoping the one in there was correct to work off of without measuring lol

The 66 or 67 Hemi 4-speed Satellite parts car that I had, had one.

Ok you are right 66 I keep forgetting that I do have one around and what a great source of info it really is I never thought that would be there about driveshafts but there it was looking me in the face lol low and behold I measured my shaft and indeed it is correct as far as damper they were there with certain gear ratios 3.55 and beyond just learned something today

My 66 has 3.23's as original gear in piss I posted. BB take a 1330 u-joint.
