Thank god there are some young guys following in the footsteps we have laid down. It pains me to see so many other young guys NOT have the same level of passion we have for these classic cars!
Thanks, i'm certainly trying! I'm very much into the traditional forms of Hot Rodding/Restoration. Don't like big wheels and could care less for fuel injection or big brakes. Without sidetrackign the thread too much id like to share a couple pictures of my other builds.
Heres my 77 Trans am, has a 455 10.5 1 roller motor that makes 575 ft lbs at 3300
blazes tires all day long, but it hides it well with a stock appearance and factory smog era 2.45 rear gear LOL
Also in the pic is a 10.8:1 compression 400 roller engine i built myself, paired to an m22 that i also built from aftermarket parts/case. This will be going in my current 71 Lemans T-37 post car, its a total stripper base model vinyl floor bench seat car. 4 wheel manual drums. just how i like it. I also built the engine test stand and will never do another build without one, was great being able to tune and check for leaks before dropping the motor in.
I built the headers from scratch, it was my first attempt and i am beyond stoked with the result, they fit great and look in my opinion amazing. Especially with the exhaust port angle of Poncho heads, it really makes it tricky for a good fit.
Anyways my point is, this 68 charger, in whatever shape its in, in my mind will be in good hands and get the proper restoration and care it will deserve! Cheers, Sam.
