Great job Dreamcather. Love how the car is looking.
Gonna have to make another trip to Keystone. Love it there. We always make a nightly pit stop when heading to Yellowstone or Glacier. There's a restaurant that has steer ribs on the menu.....awesome....on the main street.

Well let me know if and when you ever get up this way (you or anyone else on here) I usually have cold beer and never need a reason for burgers and brats on the grill.Great job Dreamcather. Love how the car is looking.

I freshened up my original grill that was in very good shape for 51 years of age. Added an R/T badge. Wasn't sure about the original color of gray so did a bit of mixing. It looked pretty close.
I was missing one of the brackets that connect the bottom of the grille to the fender. Not sure where I can get one as of yet. I don't see them in any of the catalogs.

I had the same problems with my AMD front fenders. I didn't think about letting the company know about the marker light hole (good idea). Mine was off 3/4 of an inch or so.
Car is looking great! Keep up the good work.

I contacted AMD they blew me off. I went to the place I bought them. They took pictures and really mounted them about the sloppy workmanship. So I guess they figured they had to do something. I have used several repop companies and there all the same. Some parts are good most require work. Its a crap shoot at best. But if you cant save your factory stuff its what we do.

Factory stuff s always better. A car that needs NO metal is better yet! My mopar buds calls the welded up stuff,"quilt cars"! He is right, but funny thing is people in the rust belt hate to spend the $ to have a car hauled to them from the NON rust belt! Yea I admit finding a total rust free car is not easy especially with many models.
Repop sheet meat I way better than a few decades ago, AMD is better than the sorry- ier chit. I have seen more than a few have to split a rear qtr all the way to make it be right!

The burgundy one on top is my 70 Superbird (tribute) the other one that is up and on the left is a 70 mustang 351C 4 speed. the faded blue one is a 69 GTO ram air III 4 speed. And under the mustang is a 71 chevelle SS (tribute) 350 4 speed. The truck nose you see is a 79 150 short box step side 4x4 lifted 9 inches. Most haven't been out of the shop in at least a year. I build them but never seem to drive them. Truthfully I don't even know why I keep them. Something to do I guess.
ok......you will have to send out the bird to Hanks Car Camp and I will make sure to schedule daily activities so it doesn't feel neglected....

Wife asked yesterday how the heck did I get that run in the paint I just shot. My answer was I did it on purpose, that way the car is NOT perfect and I will drive it and not fret!! I was glad to see car footprint ( dirty feet) on that car also. At least it had dried a day before the damn cat!!

Well I am back from a month long trip with the 5th wheel visiting grandkids my mother and family and friends in general. Just glad to be back in my shop and back with Crazy Larry (my charger).
Still cutting and buffing dark colors show every little imperfection.
I got the engine and transmission installed hopefully for the last time.
Still a long way from done but making progress. Thanks for all the likes and support.
