68 charger

Are the pulley that you are selling the right ones for the A/C setup, I could always do some machining to it? How many grooves does the crank pulley have? The reason I ask is because I have a three groove using one for water and alt another for power steering with one left (the one closest to the block) and I'm crammed for space (fan would hit a 4 groove). I'd really appreciate any pics or even part #'s for the pulleys you used. PM me a price on the pulleys if they are the correct ones for A/C. Thanks

I checked that link "don't like they're setup" they show one belt on the alt and not very much contact either. I have a 100 amp alt that squeals the belt, I'd like to have two belts on it like yours. Did you have to go with an aftermarket power steering pump?
ALL my pulleys are 68 big block a/c,,the power stg pump is for the rack& pinion, you can use the stock pump & brakets,,i have the 4 belt lower pulley & a 4 core radiator,my fan is an 18 in,,fan clutch is a jaguar 2765 hayden,,lots of mopars run this set up,the ac brakets are from bpe,i also have the 90 amp 1988 dodge denso alternator,i will sell the pulleys & they will work with ac,just no mechanical fan.if you need help i will get you the part #s for the steel pulleys & brackets that will work for you.

the 69 brackets will work also as long as the are for AC

After looking at your pics and my setup I believe I have it figured out, your pump is out one belt from where mine is "just need to move my pump out". Thanks, now what's up with the cam? any more pics? If your concerned about your cam and lifters I'd pull the lifters out one at a time and inspect them, I've swapped lifters and cams without ever pulling the intake using a telescoping magnet of coarse if there's build up on the lifter it may not work. You probably already know this but thought I'd mention it. Good luck

with the 2 grove water pump pulley you can run the power stg belt over the 2nd groove on water pump then the crank, that will leave the 2 inner crank groves for the ac /alter,that way you only have a total of 3 belts.

by running the stg belt over the water pump, you dont need that outside 4th belt.

Thanks, the pics were helpful.

i made it out of a spoiler that fits a different kind of car.

there was an old Direct Connection ad in the '80s that had a '69 Charger with a Six Pak scoop and a chin spoiler. looked sweet.

I think the whole car looks sweet! Looks like it was made for the garage its sittin in.. Im not sure of the spoiler myself, Just not a huge fan of them on the older cars, but it looks good if you like them!

I'm not to sure about the spoiler, maybe if it were a little wider and didn't hang down quite as much but "hey" it's your car and if you like it then so do I.

Yeah the spoiler could be a bit wider I think, but if you're going for function the closer it is to the ground, the better. Sure I'll catch a barrage of $h!t for this but I was thinking about modifying a '69 camaro front spoiler for mine like Mike Musto did, or maybe trying one out from "spoilers by randy" :shruggy:

So has your driveway been freshly rubberized yet?

no burnt rubber YET when i do there will be pictures lol,,,i am not going to use this spoiler,i was bored & needed something to do. that did not cost anything.

Well I've got the popcorn in the microwave ready for the vid when you do lol

Tinkering is always fun even if you don't end up using somethin. What did you decide to do aboit the cam/ oil drive roadblock? Just save the money for the stroker?

i replaced the oil drive bushing,& saving for the stroker,I'll just run this 383 till it stops :)

i will build mine, gonna get my stroker parts from muscle motors, i have my alum rods,400 block, solid roller cam, working on porting my alum heads.

Way to go, I would never farm out the motor or buy one "to much fun to build it yourself". No offense to anyone who chooses to buy one it's just my favorite part of building a car. Good luck

That is true, I have built motors in the past and enjoyed it, but I'm old and tired now, not really in the mood to build one.

I would have never guessed "Daytona Kid" thought you might be a youngster. Sometimes I wish I could farm out a little more but I'm broke so you gotta do what ya gotta do.

Thats my biggest threat, building my engines, im no engine builder i always need to get someone to do that type of work, like you said though, got to do what we got to do!
Good luck Daytona, hope it works out good for you!!
