68 charger

I like the scoop. It doesn't sit too high off the hood. Gives you the clearance you want. Metal too?

What brand and model is it?

Holy crap that's some serious McGuyver-in' going on haha nice work Charlie! Too bad you didn't have a '70 rr Airgrabber setup laying around!

jeepers it a steel goodmark 2.5 cowl scoop that i welded into the stock hood

yea speedy i looked for one but they are VERY pricey,so this will do for now.

Having done the same (welding the hood scallops up) I know what a pain it is to get it right without warping it, looks great. Even if it is a Chevy style scoop you can't argue that it looks good on a Charger (Benno's looks really nice). Is it going to be body color or black.

GOT the hood on today,I like it!!!!

Man does that look painful haha, keep after it bud you'll have it in paint before you know it. Looking good as usual

Beautiful job! Its your decision, but I would suggest painting it blue in my opinion. It would stand out more and might even get an award at a car show! Your work is sure show quality! Install a 446 Hemi and a Weiand blower and the pavement will have a new coat of rubber :headbang:

You've got to get it outside for a pic so we can see it but I really like flat black on a muscle car. Have you thought about maybe doing the opposite as most and throw some gloss black in there to mix it up like a rump stripe or something? The fun begins

hey 747, i was thinking the same thing, but i might go silver on the 68 butt stripe,i am going to paint the bumpers a semi gloss,& do i black out all the trim,,,decisions,,decisions, lol :)

Don't ask me, I wanted to go with a brushed look with my trim but after paying so much to re-chrome the vent windows I polished them but still stare at it with a scotch bright in hand just itching to wipe all that shine back off...................I hate shiny stuff!

Wow, looking good Charlie... I've been thinking of painting mine the same way..
