Hey guys,

Recently I've had the good fortune of acquiring a decent Mopar. The car in question is a 1968 Coronet Deluxe Sedan. It's got a 318 that's been tuned some, a standard 3-spd. Torqueflite, and it's running 215/70 R15s in the rear and 195/70 R14s in the front. Not the pinnacle of muscle or pro-touring/street but it's a work in progress. The car spent many of its years in Arizona, and because of that the car is rust-free apart some surface rust in the trunk. The body is solid and the car is all there.

My plans for this vary between stock and modern. I'd say the essentials would be 1. The wiring. Some things work, others don't. I don't think I need a complete harness, but stuff definitively needs to be replaced. 2. The brakes. Stock discs in the front, drums in the rear. I'd like to modernize them all the way around with newer disc s. 3. The head gaskets. The current ones are leaky. 4. New gauge cluster. Not sure if I should go with a stock one, or an aftermarket set.

I'd like to outfit the car with 245s with 15in steelies and hubcaps all around. I'm not sure if I can do that with the stock platform though.

The dash definitely needs to be redone or replaced. Missing a radio also. But other than that the interior and upholstery is in great shape.

All in all it's a solid runner, with almost zero rot. I think its a good platform to build off of and I paid $7000 for it, not a bad deal I'd say.

Good catch of the day ! I don't mind 4 doors ,they can do everything a 2 door can. Have fun with your project. 68 one of my favorites.

I agree with the catch of the day, i love the color combo with the interior, Im sure you'll find a radio here for your ride and im no resident on prices but an old Mopar in this shape it seems to be close in prices today, it is a Mopar, more highly priced toys!

That's one of the nice 4-doors I've seen in a long time.

I haven't posted here lately, but I've done a bit here and there. I've cleaned the old girl up a bit. I got found misc. interior bits. Replaced bad valve stems, so it's smoke free now. Cleaned up the engine bay. Eradicated small patches of rust. I've had the paint polished and buffed. And added a non-factory R/T stripe for good measure. Not a daily driver, but I've been driving it more frequently than anticipated.
