68 gtx oil pan

for my 512 build , i am wanting to increase the oil pan size but dont want a pan that sticks out really low , worried about bottoming out, and dont like the look of a pan hanging down another 8 inches, is there any size that anyone on here has used and would recommend????

I think the Hemi pan is 7 quarts. I have used it before and also have a pan for my new build. It will stick down about 1/2 inch extra from 5 quart pan and closer to K-frame. Requires a different pickup. Hemi pickup size is 1/2 inch NPT. 440 is 3/8 NPT. You can retap the block to the larger size. Out of the car of course.
