Wow, looks nice, but you're doing the floors after the car has been painted? Got any underneath shots (****) we can look at?
@Ron73, the airplane diversion got me off track, and I never answered your question. Walnut shells is the product, dirty, nasty, cuts ok, and way cheap. Not sure about acid content, they are much harder than the plastic I use. Currently, I'm doing some old steel furniture with pure 100% Type II Urea plastic, and with this furniture I have the fenders, deck lid, doors off a 67 Fairlane that has NO rust, just a repaint. With plastic, the metal comes out like a new stamping. I will post some pics up later in my Media Blasting thread.

Dave looks and sounds like your making great head way.. ill wager a bit your excitement growing each day getting closer to "She done guys". Good luck..

Donny, no problem at all! :)

Donny, why the floors now?
I got the car about 4 years ago and plan to restore it after I retire. The pic in Red is the car as I got it. This year a friend of mine who is a sheet metal man wanted to go ahead and replace the rear quarters. So the plan was to cut off and just replace the rear quarters. We pulled the quarters off and repaired the outter wheel house and replace the trunk extensions. We did this at a friends bodyshop and he wanted to go ahead and seal up all the new metal since we wouldn't be painting it for awhile. In the process of replacing the 1/4s we dediced to pull the back glass and fix the leak. Then the bodyman starting looking at some of the other defects in the paint, which led to stripping the car. This led to go ahead and do the repaint. Now I had pulled the rear interior out to do the 1/4s, so might as well pull the front out which led to the need to replace the front floor. Just one of the things where one thing led to another.
