Looks good Dave. I am still waiting for Legendary Auto to give my seats back after they stitched them up wrong. Started the car today though.

Hey Dave, hope they get ig right. How did she run?

Thanks for asking. She ran good but man those mopars start hard after sitting a while. Rebuilt the carb but have to pump the crap out of it before she settled in ( had to do this before I built it ). Had to mix in my zinc additive.

Your choke all hook up and working Dave? Id start there if your pumping it that much to get her going.. Tighten down carb bolts, maybe loose? Just a couple suggestions..... Good luck.

Thanks Ron73 I will check the bolts ( choke is all hooked up and fully closed when starting up ). I had this problem before I built the carb thinking it was drying up in the bowl but when I hit the gas it squirts right away. Have to pump about 10 times before she fires. I know she wants gas because If I dont pump her she wont start. I should probably just put a electronic fuel pump in.

I have to pump mine like 6 times before i start it, if it has been sitting a week. It fires right up and runs good. I guess the gas just evaporates from the carb. Electric fuel pump may fix it.

I still have my electric fuel pump on my car (was going to change over to mech).. And thats the first thing i turn on when i get into the car but if it sits for a couple weeks like it has now, I can pump it once twice and it will start ok, I always thought it might have something to do with the Acell coil i use, maybe that added voltage because i have a manual choke and it isint hooked up because i don't drive it in the winter and it starts fairly easy... An electric fuel pump might help, i don't know. I have just the single points module in the 318, nothing special..

Here is a couple of pictures of the planes. Haven't flown much this winter, windy and rainy. Ask anything you like, I tell you what i know.

DF

Dave ive followed along thru this resto and enjoying it! I have no idea how i missed this post but i had to tell you these planes are fantastic, I hope sometime you fly these again maybe you'll do a video of it, or them, I really enjoyed the other videos ive seen of these. You may be just 1/2 way here on the GTX but, from what ive seen your going to be having a lot of fun very soon. Good luck in the other 1/2..
