Dave looks real good.. I know its early but thinking of the paint going on it soon, it made me think of when i finished painting my car and decided to put the stripe kit on so i looked up the prices for the 68 GTX and they arent bad at all. Year One is expensive shipping but there real good to deal with, Maybe later this link will save you some time if you do choose to stripe it.. You can choose from a few colors and im leaving it for you just in case maybe ill call it... lol

Update, the car is blocked and should be back in the paint booth next week. I have decided to paint the car Black with white GTX stripes. The door jams and the first base coat will be first, then may get blocked again.

Hi Dave. I have the dark green inside. It actually looks pretty good green inside. It is emerald green top and lower of door panels/door panels black and rug,dash,console headliner also green with black seats. Bucket front/bench back. I would be surprised if I see this combo. Green and Black interior/ Black exterior. As for the floor. It was called the wire that I got from the paper mill I worked at. The wire is what the pulp laid on before it was made int photographic paper. Stuff is indestructible.

Sounds Good, I intend to do white seats, door panels and upper parts. Black dash, carpet and headliner.

Just a note, AMD makes the most accurate skins out there. You'll use
the least filler if you take your time. Good luck!

From the Pictures so far; I'd bet 90% that you will have to replace them and the only time is when the quarters are cut off.

Your going to have to replace the trunk extensions as well. There was a total amatuer paint job all over the car; but its a GTX and I'm glad your going to restore it..

I had a '69 Low Mileage Red GTX and had to go through the Quarters/Wheel Houses/Trunk Pan and Extensions.

It will look great and you'll really enjoy it; once it done
