68 RM23 Roadrunner, The rebuild of an old friend

Love the finished product that first drive must have been an ecstatic experience, grinning ear to ear, listening to every little noise!
So what are you going to do now in your empty nest?
Indeed, chasing gremlins at this point. A bit stressful to discern normal break in noises vs something that isn't right. Shook a big gremlin out this morning. Rear brakes. I won't bore everyone with the details. All good now.
Nice cool morning this morning, we took it out for a rotor seasoning session. The pedal feels awesome. Round two tomorrow.

Probably the last post on this thread. Had a great summer. 10 shows, came home with hardware 8 out of 10. Top 10 out of ~300, Top 20 out of ~400, 2 peoples choice, 1 best in show, 1-1st place Muscle etc. None of it really matters, its the people. Made allot of new friends. The car has 1100 miles on it at this point. Only leak has been a minor power steering leak which I think I have resolved. It's getting cooler here but will go for spins around town as long as the roads stay clean. Then it's up on stands to give it a good crawling over.

I have one main issue to address, the rear glass interior trim has pushed away in spots from the headliner. My only thought is the tape seal for the glass has mushed down after days in the hot sun. Shouldn't be too bad to resolve without popping the rear glass.

Thanks to all of you who followed, provided input and compliments and cheered me on. No other projects on the horizon as I'm a bit burnt out. This will probably be my last build. Getting too old for this ****.

However, for some reason, Rat Rod of some form keeps sticking in my brain. It would be fun to build something that you don't have to "WATCH THE PAINT!!!"
