68 Superbee Wheel and Tire

Getting closer to paint on my 68 Superbee. Yaaay!

Just installed front disk brakes and not compatible to my 14 inch wheels. Any suggestions on keeping with old school look (mag Wheels) and if larger than a 15 inch is desirable?

My 14's are the old school American Racing, however open to ideas.

15" Magnum 500's shoulda been the official wheels of b-bodies from new, iffin ya ask me.

I am getting warm on the Keystones and Magnum 500's. I would go dog dish if going 100 percent original. Any thoughts on larger than a 15 inch rim?

On the 68 Chrysler 300 parts car I recently dragged home I had to toss on a set of spare steel rims, my wifes 16" winter tires off her 2011 Caliber...I think the 16's actually look pretty good on the car. I don't think I would go bigger then 16" though.

Thanks, yes 15x10's with 5.25" backspacing on the rear. I wish I had 2 sets of them because I like them on my RR also.

One thing to keep in mind is the amount of back spacing. Not all rim manufacturers have the same amount, for the same size rim . You dont want the face of the rear tire rubbing on the top of the inner fender well. My rears are 15 x 10, but i dont remember the back spacing. They're rather close.

Going with magnum 500 7x15 would like to run 7x10 on rear, just not sure of back spacing. yearone sells 5" or 51/2" and they don't know which one is right. Any help would be appeciated.

Gonna assume you mean 15x10. (Could be 17x10)
Best advice is... don't believe anything you are told will work, do YOUR OWN measuring. We don't know the circumstances of your car. You must have a wheel and tire on it now, pull it off, measure the b.s. and figure out how much closer to the spring you can get.
That said, most here think a 4.5 bs on a 15x8/8.5 wheel works well. 5"bs moves the tire a half inch closer to the spring, 5 1/2 a full inch. Will you have that room? We don't know.
For a personal example, I have a 15x8 1/2 with 4 7/8 bs on my 62, but It needs a 3/8 spacer to work.(so, 4 1/2 bs). Same wheel and tire works on my 69 runner, WITHOUT the spacer. Would it work on your Bee? Probably, especially since the bee has a more open wheel opening. 10s are easier on a bee than a runner.
Point is, we can't tell you what will fit, only what we think! You have to decide if the big backspace is too much. But if you get the big bs, and it's too close, you can always get a spacer.

And yes, you assumed correct. 15x10 for the rears.
