What car did this engine come from 9A223526

A 69 something or other built at the Lynch Road plant. The HP2 means HP second shift.

Too early for an A12, what's the EAD on the top pad?

E 440 hp

Lynch road assembly.... must have been a B body, GTX, Coronet or Charger R/T.
Seems most of the early engines had the entire VIN stamped in their pad. Mid and late production ..just the year, plant and sequence.

LR built only Belvedere and Coronet based cars for 1969 leaving the possibilities of a Coronet R/T or GTX.

Highly likely it came from a GTX.

VIN is consistent with 205 or 207 SPD meaning it was too late for all 13 digits. (the latest I've seen with all 13 digits stamped on the block or tranny is an early January built car)

The lowest A12 RR VIN starts with 239***

I'd pad is
E440
A (upside down)
2 space 4. HP2

Mine says F 440, sideways A, 11 17 2, #OC 169108, casting date 8/17/69

From what I've read, the A means it was bored .020 at the factory.
