69 charger dash switch?

Rear speaker was available with Am/8 track in 68-70 B bodies too. It used the same fader switch for single rear speaker.

Never seen that. 8 track output fader and speaker outputs must only have two plug connectors

That fader switch was also available over the parts counter at a dealership. I worked in the parts department and got one for my car.

Not offered in a 68-70 B body. They did offer console mounted cassette deck with mic in 71 & later.
I stand corrected. I had a 71 Charger R/T with the "wild kingdom" louvered hood scoop, Y4 gold w/tan interior! (I wish I had taken more pics!) Go Wing, etc. It had the E Body type console with the cassette deck & mic.

I've got the AM/8 track with the 3-speaker dash & rear speaker in this '68 Charger.

Hello again Richard. I spoke with your radio guy who was very nice. His source for fixing and modifying the AM, AM-FM and AM 8 Track radios just retired and is no longer able to help.
Two questions for you if you would consider responding.

I have the Speaker Harness for the three front speakers and the Stereo Crossover box on the back of the glove box ( I think). I can see how they hook up on the attached wiring diagrams. (no question here yet.)
1. I do not find the connection for the Fader Switch (picture attached) in the wiring diagram?
2. I do not see any reference to a rear speaker or connection in the wiring diagram.
3. I do NOT have the rear speaker wiring. I don't even know what it looks like and because I can't find it in the repair manual wiring diagram.
4. can you recommend a place for the three front and single rear speaker? I have the original three in front which could be used as cores, but I am also ok with aftermarket speakers if they fit.

Can you shed any light on these four questions or perhaps offer another source of information?

I still need to get my AM 8-Track reworked which can include a FM and Blue tooth modification, but I am still seeking to find a good source. I don't care if the 8-Track is operable, but I would like a good radio and blue tooth connection.

I have finished the upholstery of the front and rear seats, so the restoration is coming along fine. The dash and electronics are next which is what is driving my inquiry.
Thank you again.

You should talk to these people for your needs and questions ……

American Muscle Car Restorations, Inc. – Performing world class restorations for the most discriminating of collectors and connoisseurs.

I’m restoring the dash out of my mostly survivor 1969 charger.
Mounted to the bottom of the dash is this speaker switch which is basically a rheostat, so I’m guessing it’s a fader switch?
My car does have rear speakers but they are round so I’m assuming they are not originals.
Is this switch original to my car, or was it added?
