69 charger floor shifter location?

Also the correct shifter bracket looks like this from the top...

Sorry I couldn't reply, I had too many posts. The photo on the top with black interior is the shifter in the 69 charger that I think is suspect, the shifter in the bottom photo with blue floor is my 69 Dart which I know is correct. Does the Charger have the wrong handle?

I used to own a 70 Sport Satellite and a 69 Charger.
Both had factory floor shift autos with shift handles just the one in the pic I posted.

This is what you are looking for,

Good morning, I'm working on a 69 charger that was butchered by previous so-called restorer. It was previously a column shift car converted to a floor shift. When you put the shifter in park your knuckles hit the dashboard. Can anybody tell me an approximate distance from the dashboard to the shifter when it's in park? Because the geometry down at the transmission is off now. If anybody has photos of a car without the carpet that would be great too. Thank you very much. Thanks, Mike

You guys are awesome, thanks for the pics. Did someone mention that the link between the shifter handle and the vertical shaft is different between the a body and b body?

Thank you very much for the pics. Does anybody with a 69 charger have the measurement from the knob to the ashtray button when the shifter is in park? Also, from a previous installation diagram I noticed that the lever at the transmission has a bend in it versus some that are straight. This also could affect things. Does anybody know what the correct lever is at the transmission? Is it straight or does it have a dog leg?

Looks like about 2 and 5/8"

Would anybody happen to have a complete shifter for this 69 charger automatic shifter?
