'69 Charger remote control door mirror

[69 Charger]

Hello again, Charger fans -
I am reinstalling parts removed from my car before sending it off for a 2-1/2 year restoration. My car was not ordered with the optional remote control door mirror, but I was able to find one on a junkyard car years ago and I installed it on mine. Sometime while waiting for the car to come home, I found a very rusty piece of metal somewhere and not recognizing it I believe I threw it away. Only later did I realize it was the part from the door mirror, some kind of retaining clip or reinforcement.
The photo shows something similar but it apparently does not fit a '69 Charger.
Does anyone have this part to fit a '69 Charger available for sale, or possibly loaning one to me and I can make a reproduction for myself?

Remote mirror cable routing? I know this is a fine point, but after finally replacing the driver side window I see that correct routing of the driver's remote mirror cable is important to keep it from interfering with window's freedom of movement up and down. The mirror cable has two round...

Yes, I think it does, but does it go on the inside of the door under the mirror, or on the inside of the door where the remote control is located?

I believe inside the door were the cables are not on face of door.

The part I need does go inside the door where the cables are, but it appears to be some kind of reinforcement. It could go on the cables up under the mirror itself (the mirror is is only attached with one screw) or it could go on the cables inside the door where the remote control knob is. My concern is that without the part, shutting the door could allow the weight of the mirror to enlarge its attach screw hole over time. If it goes behind the control knob, it's function would not be as critical.
