69' door armrest question

We've tried paint remover and stuff but we always used the air compressor to dry them, maybe they're just alittle dirty I'll give it a shot!

Alright i kind of gave up i think i'm going to end up just painting them black til i can save up for new ones or enough time to mess with these again... Looks like my graduation gift from my parents is registion paid
