Here's the last line for the tranny. Note how when cutting the line with the hose clamp capturing the end while cutting keeps the braid from fraying to much. Tranny lines are now on. Still need to tweak them a little with clamps to hold them in place & a little heat shielding.

What are you cutting the hose with? If you wrap the hose one time with masking tape and use these.........

..........then AN fittings become an easy install. Just be sure you cut through the tape.

With these cutters there is no debris in the hose to clean out.

Rocky, sorry I already gave it to the neighbor for his RR project.
Thanks Malex, I always enjoy looking at your work! I did feel like I really got something accomplished over the weekend. Hopefully the fenders will be going back on soon so it'll start looking like a car again.

Your most welcome! And yes, very nice work continuing over there. When I cut braid wrapped hoses, whether they're teflon or rubber, I just give them a wrap of electrician's tape where I want to cut, snug the hose in a vise to hold it and use a zip cut disc on the 5" grinder. Fast and clean.

Coming along very nicely! The recess you built in the air cleaner base is fantastic! Great Job, love it....

IQ I use a 1/16 cut off wheel. Yes, I flush them after cutting and then again after assembly. Those cutters look handy, may have to get some. They don't distort the hose? Semm like every time I get a length from Jegs or Summit it's a clean cut but egg shapes the liner & braid.

Malex, what front tire did you use on the Super Bee. I'm looking for a 28" tire for a 5" rim. Not really liking the tires I have up front.

Also do you have any pictures of the A12 aircleaner base? I need to figure out my element clips, water drain ports & valve cover breather hose ect.

The out-of-round is easy to handle. The quick and clean cut more than makes up for it.

IQ is the snow gone yet? Bet Cody is out shed hunting already....

Good day!
I was just over doing some work on the Super Bee today in fact. The front tires on the Bee are the Mickey Thompson SR. I believe that those are the 26" tall ones, but give the 28" ones some serious thought. Look up Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R. 28X600 R15 LT. Those will fit a 5" rim and fill up the wheel well at the same time, although a 26" will also do the trick. Taller is just my preference and I have them on both my Plymouth and Camaro. I used to have the Sportsman non-radial on the front and those are a hard drive. Like taking a cow down the trail, wanders all over. The S/R is a nice drive.
I don't have any pics of the base plate, sorry, it's been 7 years since I did that. And hell, I might as well attach a picture or 2!

Just scooped a rear shot today. The tail light panel was the first one off the press at AMD.

Dana and SS springs.

28X600 on the front of the Plymouth, looks right at home.

28X600's on my Camaro too, getting close but they fit.

Yes, that's what I'm after. I have the same set up you did. The 26s just don't look right to me. I'll be ordering the SRs! Thanks.

I had to work OT last night, then mow the yard. So I only had enough time to confirm that I can get the valve cover off with the new AC hoses and fittings.

Well took the better half camping this weekend so I loaded up some stuff to take with me to work on.

Got the switches out to clean up. Dash dimmer switch needed the most. Used a dremel with a wire wheel to clean up the contacts & such then a little electric grease to keep it clean. BTW where can I find the replacement rockers, I know I've seen them somewhere but couldn't find them last night. Mine the chrome is bubbling or flaking and want to replace them.

Got the speedo out and cleaned the face. Ordering the white decals for the increment markings on all gauges. Also painted the needles on them all.

Put the decals on the odometer. It took me about 2 pieces to figure out the right tension to put on them to get the seems right. They give you extra numbers so that helps!

I think I'm going to reset my odometer to zero as I can't confirm the mileage, but I do have a picture of it for record.

tim, are you considering recalibrating the speedometer? since you have it out.

I was wondering about that, do you have a good way to do that? I see the adjusting spring, just wondering what RPM =what mph ?
