I seem to be having trouble getting the right idler arm for my 1969 dodge charger. The parts store keep giving me a arm with a sleeve in it and my old one has a large bushing in it. Any help would be great. Thanks Jay
That appears to be the correct idler, it should have come with a bolt, nut and 2 rubber washers. Put the rubber washers over the sleeve ends and bolt it in with the supplied bolt and you should be good to go.
Thanks for the info. That is what the instructions say but the sleeve seems to be short and does not fit into the mount tight. I do not think you can compress the mount that much to make a tight fit? Jay
I just put one in about two hours ago.
There should be one or two flat washers that come with it.
My instructions said if one washer was supplied put it at bottom between the sleeve and k-frame mount.
If two washers were supplied put one on top of sleeve and one on bottom, them torque to 55-65 ft. lbs.
30-35ft. lbs. at the center link.:headbang:
