Fresh paint!

I stopped in to take a few pics today-the car has paint! The doors, fenders, hood and decklid were all painted off the car. The car should be wet sanded, buffed and assembled in the next week or so. The vinyl top is supposed to be put on next friday. The only paint work left will be the hood stripes and the blackout behind the grille. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics but that's all I had with me.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I painted my bumper brackets, control arms, sway bar; basically all the front suspension this morning. Things are really starting to come together now.

I would be interested in what they charge you. If they do one old car at a time and use it for fill in hours, that's good thinking on there part.

I stopped by today-the car was wet sanded with 1500,2000,2500, and then 3000 grit and then buffed. Next time I go I'm taking a towel to wipe my drool!

I think I'm going to need a towel for the same reason and it's not even my car. It looks really good!

The vinyl top was installed last friday so I stopped to check it out-looks awesome! A few parts need to get painted yet;hood hinges and marker bezels. The hood needs to be put on, hood stripes masked, hood taken off, stripes painted, then hood put back on. I should have it back late next week!! I need to get my garage cleaned soon...

The sides of the cowl are wet sanded but not buffed because the hood stripes will cover those areas, that's why the cowl looks dull.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I plan on spending all day saturday in the garage getting stuff straightened up and ready for the car to come home. I'll get the motor back on the k member- I got the K all blasted and painted. I'll post more pics when I get time.

Got it home!

I got the car home from paint today- less than 4 months start to finish. I am very happy with the finshed product- everything fits well and the paint is amazing! I'll post more pics soon...
