Is it 22 or 26 inch i measured from top hole side to side and got 25" and i measured top to bottom hole and 15",so what size radiator, and is 69 roadrunner that had a 383eng in it per fender tag and vin. Thanks

measure side to side, "finned" area only. 22" rad the upper hose comes off the drivers side, 26" the upper rad hose comes off the pass. side.

Standard radiator with 383 was 22" without A/C or performance axle package. My 69 has A31 axle package- on the top line of the tag, the last code is 26- for the 26" radiator. Check your tag or post a pic here.

to clarify i do not have a radiator in car now, just trying to figure out what size i need, its a 69 roadrunner that had a 383 hp eng.

Which engine doesn't matter. Other options determines the radiator. For example axles packages (3.55 or 3.91s) got the 26" radiator. A/C and the trailer towing package would get the 26'. A standard 383-4 mautal or automatic would get the 22".

or could i just put a 26 inch in there?would 26 fit right in there?

If the distance between your mounting holes is 25" it must have originally come with a 22" radiator.

It could be done but you would have to trim your radiator support to makethe opening wider.
