It's sad, but with the substandard parts we often have to work with, it really takes a lot of work to truly get these cars "sorted" and running right.

Gets better all the time. I was talked into using this $450. Miloden Road/Race oil pan because it is supposedly the best out there. A bad weld on the bung is leaking just from the car going up and down on my lift. I haven't started the engine and am sure it would be much worse once that happens. Wouldn't you think Miloden would pressure test these pans somehow before sending them off. And wouldn't you think the engine builder in California would have checked for leaks better when it was dyno'd?

Been feeling a lot more like 2 steps back and 1 forward lately. Really irritates me that a guy spends 13k on a motor and then has to mess around replacing an oil pan that should have been checked over by 2 different companies.

Can you pull the pan while it's in the car? I went with the hemi pan and added the skid plate.

I believe so. I had to notch the motor mount brackets slightly to get the k frame around it originally. I have never seen the baffling inside one of these pans but am hoping I can rotate the crank to get the pan to drop down. I'll cut it out if not as I am not interested in taking the motor out of the car again.

I bought a restored factory AM radio for my Coronet and a new center dash speaker. It sounds OK unless you start the car then you can barely hear the thing. Looks good in the dash, though. I installed a modern Kenwood in the glove box. Only thing about that is the remote is IR and only works when the glove box door is open; wish I could find a RF remote for it.

Just Google "small ir repeater". I found many neat looking ones.

I did last year. Can't remember the hole size though. Just measure the threaded portion of your lamp.

Baby steps... Got the back seat area put together which also means the cool fake side scoops are bolted on.

Also made a bracket to install a coolant overflow take using a couple of existing holes on the radiator support.
