400 block, Weiand Action + 8008 intake, 3/16" carb gasket, 440 base air cleaner, K&N oval filter, and Moroso solid motor mounts. With this combo I have almost an inch clearance between the top of the air filter top and the hood.

Next issue. Dumped in 6.5 quarts of oil in the new engine. The next day I notice oil on the bottom of my pan. Traced it up to the passenger side valve cover. Called Brian at IMM to ask about the gaskets. He says it didn't leak a drop on the dyno. Sent him the pics of the area and he us calling Mancini to see if there is some special gasket they recommend with there valve covers and Trick Flow heads. He has the good Cometic ones in there now.

Had a valve cover leak in the same spot on the '70 Charger we restored at work. Didn't find it until it was warm, oil stained the new TTI exhaust. (Dammit)!
I ended up getting Superformance Carbon X gaskets, using stock manifolds and stamped steel valve covers. No more leaks after installing those gasket. Superformance has a VC gasket for machined head surfaces and aluminum VC. Mancini sells them.

Mancini recommended a Moroso blue rubberish gasket with the Trick Flow heads. There is a lot more material on those in the lower corners compared to the Cometic that the builder had installed. I'll post the # of it when I get home today.

I mentioned previously that I bought a 440 air cleaner assembly and lid from PG Classics to gain hood clearance with a slightly taller intake manifold. The repops come with a very flat black finish on the base which I resprayed with Duplicolor gloss black engine paint. The top comes in a very dark red shade of orange which doesnt look right at all. Thanks to dadsbee I was able to find a can of Duplicolor DE1652 and repainted the lid. It doesn't really look like it in the pics, but it is a night and day difference from what it came like and is really close to the 50 year old paint on my original lid. I am very happy with the outcome.

Got my seats back from the neighbor lady. She did a fantastic job on them. Went to put them together and realized that I only had one of the 4 hinge washers. Not reproduced as far as I can tell. They are black plastic or nylon and measure 2" od 1/16" thick with a 3/4" center hole. The closest any hardware store gas is 1 5/8" diameter and the extra 3/8" makes a big difference as far as vinyl rubbing on the metal arms. So dadsbee was gracious enough to get some he had made for some aviation part on the way to me from Canada that will be a perfect fit after I make the inner hole a bit bigger. Thanks Wayne .

Had a one man service station in town for many years that I had always used to swap tires for me. Did them when I walked in the door and only charger $2 each. He passed away this last year and now I was going to have to spend 10-20 each anywhere else. So this winter I did some searching and picked a used changer and balancer. Just got them cleaned up and working. These are really going to be helpful for me.

Hopefully those washers get there next week... just use a unibit to open them to the ID you need. If anyone else comes up against this and needs some send me a PM. After moulding millions of them for TRW seat belt division as a wear washer for the retracter spring many years ago (and I now use them for a control system wear washer on aircraft I build) looks like I have about 800 of them left.

Yeah, I thought about that already. Set them up in my garage addition so they aren't visible when walking in my main area.

Bought my own tire machine and balancer some years ago, super handy to be able to mount and balance your own tires whenever you want. Mine are in my 2nd shop so they are not visible by random "buddies" (although they all know I have them).

Are those for bucket seats, too, or just buddy seats? My buckets were done by a previous owner and did not have those washers.

The 2" black washers are for bench and buckets as far as I know. My buddy seat has the same style washers, but they are a clear plastic.

Joel, the front tires are 245/60/15; 295/50 out back. Plenty of room on all four corners.

Thanks for the pics Rich. I just had that exact combo bolted on my car. This past weekend I stretched some 275/60's on my 10 inch rear rims and put 225/70's on the front to see how I like that look. I love the width of the 295's, but wish they were a bit taller.

And I put the buddy seat in thinking if I didn't like it that I would build some kind of custom console. I believe I am going to keep the seat.

Top pic with the MasterCraft tires are 245/60 and 295/50 tires. Next 2 are the same 7" and 10" rims but with 225/70 and 275/60 BFG's
I need to decide on a rump stripe color and am really struggling with that....
