Took a little time to get the headrest mounts fitting nice. I had to elongate the holes in all 4 spring clips so as they would grab into the notches of the posts. Also had to file the holes in in the black plastic pole supports as well as the large hole of the metal frame on one of the seat uppers. Mounting hardware for some reason doesn't come with hardware. I believe they originally would have been fastened with sheet metal screws, but after making the holes bigger in the plastic supports, I felt better using some 8-32 screws and nylock nuts.

Yeah, after reading how long it took you on yours, I thought $350. to have mine restored was a bargain.Anodized and painted for you !! Now that's just cheating! GOOD FOR YOU!! LOL Not sure I ever want to polish and paint another...

Not to mention the new ones don't come pre-drilled.The wheel well moldings are not perfect by any means on the bottom side, but what shows turned out real nice. After using reproduction moldings on a previous restoration, fighting to get them to fit and look 1/2 way decent, I said never again if my originals were at all usable.

No, $350. for just the tail panel. The wheel well moldings were $280. for the set. And yes, he repaired any bad spots.$350 for your tail panel and wheel openings? Guessing he repaired any dents too? I gotta get this guys number.
Guess I don't know the answer to that, didn't know there were different types of anodizing. They shine like an original. They look nice. Did you get them bright dipped?
It's getting harder to find a shop that does BD. It accentuates the shiny finish of the polished aluminum. In other words, it's a lot more shiny than regular anodizing.Guess I don't know the answer to that, didn't know there were different types of anodizing. They shine like an original.
Wow.. I would have gladly paid that! LOLYeah, after reading how long it took you on yours, I thought $350. to have mine restored was a bargain.
